STIRRED UP

Morning Glory...

Without a knowledge of the Word of God, the heart will never be stirred up to obey Him.

John 6:63

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.

How vital it is to have a daily intake of God's Living Word. His Words give life as the Spirit of God quickens the mind.

quicken

(ˈkwɪkən)
vb
1. to make or become faster; accelerate.
2. to impart to or receive vigour, enthusiasm, etc; stimulate or be stimulated.
3. to make or become alive; revive

Look closely at the above definition.
Now, ask yourself this question..."Do I feel alive about the things of God?"

You and I were meant to be stirred up by the Word of God to do His will.

to stir:

arouse strong feelings in (someone); move or excite:
"they will be stirred to action by what is written" ·
"he stirred up the sweating crowd"
synonyms: arouse · rouse · fire · kindle · inspire · stimulate · excite · awaken ·

The mental effort many of us go through to try and stay excited about God often ends in disappointment.  It is because we are using the wrong tool.

The Spirit of God takes the Word of God and "stirs" holy emotions in the heart of the believer.  Oh, it may take some stirring  to truly revive what has gone dormant, but continue to present your soul at the altar of God's Word, and you WILL be stirred and quickened unto new life.

Daily...daily...daily!
God has fresh bread, new wine, and fellowship at the table He has prepared for you.

I speak blessings of "quickening" upon your mind today.  I bless you with a new sense of urgency to seek after God, to be stirred inwardly that you may complete what He has planned for you outwardly.

Loving Him and you,
Charlotte
