"Blessing Vitamins, Cont."

Morning Glory...

It has been a joy for me to write about B (Blessing) Vitamins.  It may sound a bit simple, but, we need to sometimes bring our thoughts to simple examples.  Thoughts can weary us.  Proverbs 23:7 gives us insight into what a thought can do.  "As a man thinks in his heart, so IS he..." (paraphrase mine).  A thought can have a tangible effect upon us.  A thought can materialize into our way of living, whether it be for good or for evil. When we discipline ourselves to keep God's Word in our thoughts, we will learn how to live a blessed life.

The Bible, in I Peter 1:13-16 tells us to “gird up the loins of our mind.” What does that mean? In Bible times, men wore long, flowing robes. When they were going to work, to plow, or to fight, they would pull up the loose ends of their robes and tie a rope around the folds at their waists. They would do this, so as not to be encumbered and trip. (Adrian Rogers)

So to gird means to not allow your thoughts to trip you up.  Thoughts, ideas, suggestions, insinuations, hints, etc., come at us from every direction.  Brother Kenneth Hagin wrote the following..."The Bible is the Word of God and contains God’s thoughts. And of course, God’s thoughts are different than man’s thoughts. “For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the Lord. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts” (Isaiah 55:8, 9). As we study God’s Word and know His thoughts, we can dare to think God’s thoughts after Him as we get our thinking in line with His Word."

Did you catch the last few words of the last sentence..."get your thinking in line with His Word".  Now, do you I suggest that this is easy?  No.  But, it can be done with daily practice.  When a thought comes into your head, you and I must learn to judge it to see if it is for our good or for our harm.  The easiest way to do this is to first study God's Word and fill your mind with His thoughts.  As you do this, you will have the wisdom and capability to make proper judgment.

Next, you and I have to learn to "keep" God's Word in our minds.
Look at GOD'S WORD® Translation..."Never stop reciting these teachings. You must think about them night and day so that you will faithfully do everything written in them. Only then will you prosper and succeed."  Thinking correctly requires discipline and effort.  It is God's exchange program that He instituted after the fall of man.  His desire IS for us to prosper and succeed.  He would not have sent His Word if He had other plans for man.

Satan deceived Eve with thoughts.  She took deceived thoughts and spoke them to Adam.  Adam chose deceived thoughts OVER the commands of God.  They both fell.  Humanity became subject to cursing rather than blessing.  In Psalms 107:20 we see that "God SENT HIS WORD, and it healed them".  Words create thoughts.  Thoughts can be redeemed.  Thoughts can become carriers of blessings to our souls, and renew and restore us "if" they are first created by God.

God's Word contains His thoughts.  When you take in God's Word, you are receiving LIVING words that produce LIVING results.  Amazing!!!  Read Hebrews 4:12

Hebrews 4:12 CEB
because God's word is living, active, and sharper than any two-edged sword. It penetrates to the point that it separates the soul from the spirit and the joints from the marrow. It's able to judge the heart's thoughts and intentions.

Now, break this down.  God's Word is (1) Living (2) Active (3) Sharp (4) Penetrates (5) Separates (6) Judges

God's Word will effectually do all of the above as YOU KEEP IT in your mind.  How do we do that?  First, you need to learn God's Promises for whatever you are facing.  If it is healing, LOOK up the scriptures and memorize them.  You are then planting God's Word in your mind, and it will then begin to give you discernment when any other thought tries to convince you of something different.  As you begin to recognize the difference, you can then REJECT thoughts of evil.

God's Word...His Blessing  Vitamins...will begin to restore you, renew you, and elevate your own thinking to a higher level.  As you daily take in, take in, (I repeat)  take IN God's Word into your mind, that powerful, living Word WILL do exactly what God has promised it will do.  You can trust this!

Let us look again at Psalms 107:20, and how to respond to it.  Read it.  Read it again.  Read it out loud.  Say..."I believe this".  Then say, "God, You sent Your Word to heal me, and I make the choice to keep this in my mind, and I am making the choice to believe what You have done for me."  As you go through the day, repeat this again several times.  You are rehearsing the Truth.

Now, add more to this.  Find other scriptures on healing.  Say out loud.."I choose to keep these Words of God in my mind, and I will speak them out to build my faith."  Should symptoms arise in you body, or emotions arise in your soul, tell them..."I have made my choice to keep God's Word in my mind, and I will fight you with His Word."  Then stand on what you have declared.  Don't give in no matter how long it may take.  You are fighting a good fight and you will win!!

We will continue this at another time, and I leave you today declaring over you that..."you will prosper and succeed in whatever you do because God's Word is being performed on your behalf".

Loving Him and you,
Charlotte
