In Genesis God commanded and said, "Light be!"
The chaos and darkness of satan's rebellion had to flee.
Barren turned to fruitfulness.
Death yielded to Life.
And what had been held captive was now breaking free.
Jesus, the Light of the world, was the Word God sent forth.
Clothed in baby flesh so sweet, came God's Two-Edged Sword.
Barren turned to fruitfulness.
Death yielded to Life.
And what had been held captive was given wings to soar.
O, longing heart of the captive soul, rise to meet your Savior.
In Him is Life, eternal and free; He is your King and Redeemer.
Barren will turn to fruitfulness.
Death will yield to Life.
And what has been held captive, will sing His praise forever!
