The Seven Redemptive Names of God, by F.F. Bosworth "Christ the Healer" #4

Jehovah-Shalom is translated "the Lord will provide" an offering.  Christ Himself was the offering provided on Calvary.

(my thoughts).....We are entering a time of year when we celebrate the birth of our Saviour.  For many who have studied scripture or who have been well taught, we know Jesus was not born in December.  My husband, Herb, does an excellent teaching on the prophetic events surrounding His birth and has proven that Jesus was born sometime in the early fall.
What we also need to realize is that the birth of our Lord, was the fulfillment of an eternal promise of salvation for  mankind.  The other day as I was searching information on the web I ran across a discussion where one man said...."why can't people leave Christmas alone?  Why, do they have to bring religion into it?"  I shook my head.
Hebrews 10:5 ..."when Christ entered the world, He said, Sacrifices and offerings You have not desired, but instead You have made ready a body for Me (to offer).
Jesus Christ, the Lamb of God, was born that He might offer His own body for the sin of the world.  This is Jehovah-Jireh, Himself, the Creator of Heaven and Earth, Who came to be born of a virgin, to be rejected of men, to be crucified on a cruel cross, and to suffer the punishment of sin for all.
We have a tendency to look at that marvelous Name and see bills paid, a new job we were hoping for, maybe a long awaited husband or wife to add to our life, a new home, etc.  But, we must step back, step way back and see in the Mind of God what His intent was for us in Jehovah-Jireh.
He desires that we "see" EVERY need met according to His riches in glory.  Jesus is the Riches of Glory.  In Him is the deepest need of every heart; to know the love of the Father.  In knowing that love comes forth peace in trusting His promises to care, provide, protect and deliver.
I John 3 says...."Beloved, I wish above ALL "things" that you would prosper and be in health EVEN AS your soul prospers."  If the mind, will, and emotions of a person is still bound by fear, worry, unforgiveness, lust of other things, the pride of life, etc., then, have they truly understood the love of God?
God is the God of blessing.  But, He cares for our souls.  He wants us to experience the depth of His love first in that area of our being where so many of us are secretly bound.  He came to give us Life (zoe)...His Life....and to give that to us abundantly.  That does not come from external, superficial, temporal gifts.  This kind of Life comes only through the entrance of His Word.  His Word is Spirit and Truth, and comes to recreate the human spirit and to renew the mind.  He comes to plant you and I by Living Waters so that we can forever draw upon that new life.
God provided.  There is no doubt.  Start with "what" He first wanted you to have......the knowledge of the Truth that will set your soul free.  Fix your focus first upon the real reason for Jesus being born.  And, then, from that Source of Supply, that will never fail, you can receive "every good gift that is from the Father of Light".
