Ring, Ring....God Calling!

Last evening, in Bible Study, we discussed obedience to God.  One lady brought up 2 Chronicles 7:14...

¹⁴ if my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.

 

Our pastor was speaking of the foolishness of asking God for help, when we do not seek to abide by His ways.  God is gracious and kind, but He also requires faithfulness of His people, and let's admit it folks, most of us are "sliding" when  it comes to some commandments!  Right?

 

Like prayer.  We have a country in trouble, a President more full of himself, than Nimrod, and we wonder why God ain't doing something about it???  Well, what are WE doing?

First.....First....First....Who do we pray for???  Those IN authority!!

 

Pastor went on to say that in every equation, you must follow the standard set in order to see the result.  If praying for authority pleases God, and He calls it good, then it behooves us to obey so that we can receive the blessing that comes from obedience.  Most of the time we are giving God lip service!  He knows it.  We know it.  And, yet, we wonder "why ain't God doing something?"

 

Well, what in the world do we pray???  This is where YOUR study time comes in!  Quit waiting for others to find scriptures for you.  Is anyone still feeding you?  Is anyone still changing diapers for you?  Is anyone dressing you, picking out your clothes, driving you around?  (I'm talking about able bodied and reasonably sane folks, now!)

 

Well, then why do you wait for anyone else to obey God for you?

 

If the church is going to shine in the midst of darkness, it will be on her knees, before her God, doing His will, and giving Him the due glory!!  Oh...I am pointing this very large finger first at me, don't worry. 

 

I have a book called the 2959 Plan.  Look it up and buy it!  It is a great help in getting you where  God wants you...in the prayer closet!!

 

Let us shake the heavens!  Let us stand in Christ Jesus, at the throneroom of grace and mercy, and resist the devil !  God has given us His Name, His Word, His Authority, and His permission!  What else do we need.

 

OBEDIENCE!!!
