Light BE!!

What an inspiration this photo is.
Notice the darkness in the forefront?
But what really captures you is the light streaming all aorund those shadowy areas.
That light just draws you, and you know that you are almost to the clearing.

Life is like this sometimes.  A lot of times.  Many times.  For some, it seems all the time.  We need to remember that God created light first.  He created the way out first.  He made man to live in light, but man chose darkness, and so the war began.

But,the darkness has NEVER put out the light (John 1:5)...never, never, never!
Oh, I've been in some dark valleys spiritually, emotionally, and physically.  There were times I thought I would never really "see" the way out of those places.  But, God has always made a way.  One of the Names of Jesus is "The Way".

Remember today that God created a "clearing" for you.

Psalm 23:4

New International Version (NIV)

⁴ Even though I walk
through the darkest valley,^[a]
I will fear no evil,
for you are with me;
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me.

Look closely at "I walk through".  Listen, Jesus, The Way, has gone before you.  He knows the way out of this dark valley.  It comes through believing in His great love, grace, and mercy for you, and that unshakened trust in Him is the light IN you to get you through to the clearing.

The temptation to fear is in the shadows.  It is the "what if" that is like that gnarly vine trying to wrap itself around your feet.  Jesus faced the "what if" for you.  He says His comfort is present with you to help you.  He placed the Light of His Word before you to guide you.  Stay on the path.  Stay fixed upon that scripture, and fight to deviate from it.  He won't let you down. He can't.  He has committed Himself to you and I as our Great Shepherd, and He knows the Way...He is the Way.
