It Was Love

What was in You Jesus that sent you to this earth?
What was the power in You that gave fallen man new birth?
What wisdom did You have that confronted every lie?
And what laid the path of Your life to a cross where You would die?
It was Love.
God’s Love.
A love so rare, so glorious, that its power would endure,
As it entered into a world of death with Heaven’s anointed cure.
It came with Life and healing and a Sword that broke the chains,
Commanding Death to loose its grip, so Man could live again.
